DETAILS

As a ground floor, corner unit, Seascape offers the utmost in Caribbean charm and comfortThe condominium, which is nestled between the gardens and the beach, has floor-to-ceiling windows, proving excellent air flow throughout. Expansive views of the beach and bay, along with the extra tall ceilings, create an extra sense of spaciousness to the already large open design. As a second living area, the beach-side covered patio is fully screened and, in addition to its comfortable seating, it has a stunning wall mural of the sea life of Half Moon Bay.  Directly outside is a lawn area with SeaScape’s own beach loungers, then La Sirena’s private beach, with loungers and palapas.

A guest knows that they’ve reached SeaScape just by its entrance, which has a custom stained glass transom depicting its name.  Inside, one is immediately transfixed by the full view of Half Moon Bay and the beach. The living and dining areas are designed for maximum viewing and pleasurable living.  Special touches abound throughout the unit, reflecting the best of local materials and craftsmanship: stained glass, tropical mahogany cabinetry, hand painted Talavera ceramics, Mexican handblown glass, and sustainable local hardwood furniture.

There are two bedrooms with king sized beds.   Both bedrooms have orthopedic mattresses with supportive padding, combined with high thread-count Egyptian cotton linens and multiple pillow types, providing the most comfortable sleeping in all of Akumal. The master bedroom is done in a contemporary Caribbean color scheme and has mahogany closets, with built-in drawer cabinets.   The attached master bathroom spa is done in local marble, natural sea glass, and shell, and has a custom mahogany vanity with plenty of drawer space.

The guest bedroom’s headboard is custom crafted of exotic wood tiles from antique ship wrecks; and a hand carved mahogany dresser provides plenty of guest storage.  There is also a private patio, with seating that overlooks La Sirena’s expansive gardens.   The second bathroom boasts an onyx chunk stone sink, handmade tiles, and local marble walls and floor.    All rooms have large ceiling fans, including the baths. For additional comfort though, A/C is available throughout the condo.

The kitchen has custom made Mexican mahogany cabinetry with plenty of drawers and cabinets.   The expanded countertops with cut stone backsplashes, full size appliances and double sink provide convenience and space for cooking and bartending at the same time!   Of course, SeaScape's kitchen is well outfitted for all types of entertaining.

SeaScape was designed by and for its owners, who spend a lot of time there.  And it shows. Come experience it.

Just the kind of place we were hoping for!

Seascape was the kind of place and experience we had hoped for. When we walked in the door we immediately felt at home and relaxed. We loved the ambiance and the care that Diana has decorated her condo. The pottery and artwork lend so much local atmosphere. The unit was clean and ready to go for us. Housekeeping during our stay was good. Both bedrooms were very comfortable. The whole unit is open and airy, which is perfect for the beach front location, and we enjoyed listening to the ocean and breeze in the palms at night. We never needed the A/C.

At The Condo - Both of us were looking for a very relaxing experience. We have both traveled the Yucatan and have done sightseeing previously. Neither of us was really interested in all the tourista things to do between Cancun and Tulum. My friend spent a lot of time snorkeling right out the door in Half Moon Bay and in the nearby lagoon. She saw a lot of really cool sealife. My mobility prevents my access to the ocean, but enjoyed the pool instead. The ocean was a little rough most of our stay, and we had some storms, which frankly I loved. I had similar weather in February last time I visited the Yucatan.

We enjoyed cooking many of our meals and the kitchen had what we needed, but we did enjoy some of the local restaurants which we all good. Akumal was friendly, and local people very nice. Like the rest of the Maya coast, has been discovered and is getting busy compared to my first visit 20 years ago. But everywhere is. I would definitely recommend Diana's Seascape to my friends, and really hope to come back again.

Awesome vacation!

We were thrilled with Diana's ground floor oceanfront beautiful condo. Very relaxing location on Half Moon Bay. It was so nice to walk out our door and sit in the sun or shade in front of the water. Enjoyed snorkeling everyday right in front of our condo. The landscaped grounds surrounding the condo are beautiful, as well as the pristine pool.

Wonderful Vacation

My husband and I and another couple shared this lovely condo for the week. We went in November and while there were occasionally people around, it felt very private and quiet. We loved the snorkling right outside of the house. We spent a day at Akumal Beach only a few miles away, and we also went to Yal-Ku Lagoon which is within walking distance. Both were lovely experiences. The pueblo was full of lovely people and we got fresh made tortillas and fruits and vegetables there. One day we explored Tulum, another Playa del Carmen. We held monkeys at the monkey sanctuary and swam with turtles in cenotes. We ate so many tacos and guacamole we almost burst. It was a perfect vacation, and this location was a big reason why.

Very nice condo right by water's edge

This is a very nice and well-maintained property right by the water's edge (Akumal on the Half Moon Bay). The condo is spacious, well-furnished, very clean, and well-organized for renters. Although a bit remote from the hustle of standard tourist places in the area, it's only 25 kilometers from Tulum and 35 kilometers from Playa Del Carmen, both connected by a good and fast highway and about half hour away. It is near (<1 km) to two lovely restaurants/bars on the beach (great for fresh fish). Diana, the landlady, is very gracious and attentive to her guests even from a distance. The condo is provided with all the amenities that vacationers may need, including basic snorkeling gear. The water in front of the condo is better than the water in the resort areas (in the hurricane season at least)--very clear, no seaweed and great for snorkeling. The nearby Akumal Beach is better for snorkeling and watching sea turtles than paid tours. Visits to Chichen Itza and other tours can be arranged from Akumal easily with almost no extra cost.

Highly recommended for any family wishing to have a special holiday on the Yucatan coast.

Diana truly cares that your stay is exceptional...

This condo is absolutely beautiful and right on the water. Views in all directions are just awesome and you feel so at home in this wonderful get-away. I highly recommend this for a family vacation as the kids have a pool and the ocean just a few steps away. My daughter had a bed wetting accident in one of the beds but thank goodness Diana thought of everything and had a mattress cover on so we were able to just whisk it away with the help of her maid. With all the crime in Mexico it felt good to be in a safe condo with hurricane glass and a safe for our valuables. Just a wonderful experience. Thanks Diana!!

The perfect place for our family to stay.

Everything about our stay - Seascape condo, the pool, the beautiful landscaped grounds, the location for snorkeling - we really enjoyed our five days here. Walking distance to Que Onda (became our favorite) and the little grocery store down the road. We went into Yal Ku twice to snorkel from the Half Moon Bay side. The condo - great to be on the ground level - walk right out the screened sitting area to the beach area. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you need. Rooms were nice, A/C is very quiet and efficient, beds are "very" comfy. We loved the stained glass accents and all the decorative touches - like a home away from home. The shower out front was nice for rinsing off sand and salt water - the large iguana living underneath the shower base made it "memorable" for our granddaughter. The staff onsite were always friendly and helpful. Wi-fi was good. We were able to catch some of the Olympics on tv. We had brought water shoes which are definitely needed in this area and to get to Yal Ku from the back side.

We took a taxi to Akumal Bay to eat and snorkel one afternoon and found it too crowded and noisy. My granddaughter and I were out snorkeling in an area where others were snorkeling and a man came swimming up and told us we had to go in towards shore. We don't know why....but we did as told. We were glad to taxi back to the quiet setting at La Sirena.

I would highly recommend staying here as couples or a family. These condos might be an issue for someone with mobility issues as there are different levels with steps and all tile floors.

Diana - the owner - was great to work with and answered all our questions ahead of time. We are so happy that she let us enjoy her home.

Perfect little spot of paradise.

We loved this little spot of paradise. Perfect for our little family of five. The condo was just as advertised. Everything we needed. Very well kept. Air conditioning worked wonderfully. The whole pace was thoughtfully equipped for all we needed to eat breakfast and lunch there every day. Snorkeling right out the porch door was amazing. We went out nearly every day. The condo is situated in a perfect location. Secluded yet close to many fun adventures. We snorkled Akumal Bay as well as visited Tulum and Cobá ruins. Also loved snorkeling at the Yal-Ku lagoon only a block away. Would recommend to friends and family as a great place to stay!

Great condo!!!!

Seascape is a beautiful condon. We stayed at the condo over New Years. Getting to the condo is a little chaotic; however totally worth it!!! The condo is near the end of the road which allows for quiet and privacy!!! Half moon bay is beautiful with great snorkeling. The condo is very well decorated with beautiful Mexican art. Both bedrooms have very comfortable beds. The bathrooms have nice large showers!!! I highly recommend this property for anyone who likes a beautiful view and tranquility!!!

Wonderful property

This is a beautiful condo and even nicer than the photos. It also is very well stocked with every single thing you could possibly need...well, except a washer and dryer. For that, you have to find a laundromat. But other than that, this place is well stocked. It's not just a rental property. The owner actually stays here regularly so it is stocked like a personal home. The beds are very comfortable, with memory foam toppers, which is HUGE for Mexico (Mexico is known for hard beds). The views are beautiful and having your own little beach is so nice. There are a couple restaurants within walking distance and a few more that a short drive away. Be aware that Half Moon Bay, where this condo is situated, is rocky and you need water shoes to protect yourself when entering the water here and it's not the best beach for a beach walk due to the rocks and slant of the beach. I suggest having a rental car and exploring the area, especially if you want to visit a sandy beach (TULUM). This is a nice area for those looking to really decompress and chill. There is a little town center a short drive away that is all of 3 blocks in size so if you are looking for a place with a lot of nightlife or activity this is not it. But if you are looking for quiet, relaxation and great snorkeling, you have found the perfect place. Owner Diana was wonderful to deal with. She was friendly and responsive and she has done a great job providing information for her guests.

Beautiful home with amazing views, lovely details, lush garden, easy beach access

We had high hopes for this condo and it still managed to exceed our expectations. From the moment you walk into the beautiful condo, you enjoy dramatic views of Akumal Bay from nearly every room. The condo is incredibly well designed so you can enjoy morning coffee or evening sunset on the screened in porch with full views of the Bay, listening to the waves and the palm trees. During the heat of the day, you can enjoy the views from the air conditioned living room, kitchen, dining area and master bedroom. The condo itself is also beautiful, full of colorful pottery, artwork and fabrics, with rich hardwood doors and lovely stone tiles. This condo absolutely feels like a home, one that the owner takes great joy in decorating and making welcoming without overdoing it. The pool was also lovely for swimming laps and just relaxing in, and the garden is beautiful and welcoming when you arrive. Finally, the onsite staff are very helpful and do provide daily cleaning service. We would not change a thing about this condo and hated to leave.

Our visit to Akumal was phenomenal and we selected the perfect place. Loved our stay!

Our stay was perfect! We had an amazing time in Akumal. My children enjoyed every single day there; snorkeling and swimming with turtles. The swimming pool is great- overall experience was phenomenal!

Wonderful family vacation spot!

This was a great spot for our week in Akumal. We have two daughters who are 6 and 8, they loved the pool, spent hours playing and made fast friends with other kids who stayed in another condo. We spent a few days at Akumal beach and it was great to have a cooler and umbrella available. We also took a day trip to the Coba ruins and Cenote Zacil-Ha which was easy to get to!

Great quiet spot on the beach! We enjoyed snorkeling each day and saw something different each time...many tropical fish, eels, brittle stars, too many species to mention! Great staff at the condo and everything needed for cooking and a relaxing stay. Wonderful restaurants available with fantastic seafood!

Thank you for making this vacation easy to plan and for a relaxing break from our everyday lives!

Family of 4 retreat

Wonderful condo with everything you could need. Wow! Everything promised is delivered. We brought our 2 boys 15 and 13 and had an absolutely wonderful time. We snorkeled in all 3 bays (that is the only thing you should bring--snorkel gear). All the extras are just perfect. The beds are great. Beach towels provided. Truly a wonderful place. Can't wait to go back!

Better than the photos

I stayed with my spouse and best friend the first week of August 2016. This place was so nice and what a view. The photos don't do it justice. The climate controlled air conditioning was perfect. Ceiling fans throughout. The beds were so comfortable. Other than food, we needed nothing else. The staff on site were absolutely wonderful. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone!

Amazing!

Love! Love! Love!I have been to Akumal twice and stayed here both times! I wouldn't stay anywhere else. The privacy of being at the end of Half Moon Bay is exactly what my family and I were looking for! The view is amazing, and best reef snorkel spot in Akumal. The property is immaculately kept, great pool for cooling off after a long beach day, inside of unit is just beautiful and so comfortable. We have stayed a week each time and wished we could've stayed longer. Dianna is amazing to work with and highly recommend this condo.

Our Family Loved It - Excellent Pool, Beach & Snorkeling

This property is terrific for a family get away. The unit itself is very nice with a comfortable floor plan, beautiful furnishings and a location steps from the pool. We had 4 people total with two kids (8 and 10). We had more than enough room and could have accommodated another 2 easily. Most of the other units were occupied by families and the vibe was very relaxed. The beach area had lots of fish, crabs and other creatures for the kids to explore (even a very cool spotted eel at the bottom of the steps). The reef was swim-able for our kids with adult accompaniment (there is a bit of current), we saw turtles and plenty of fish. On the days when it was to windy for the main reef, the Yal-Ku snorkeling cove is a quiet, 2 block walk and worth every penny. This area of Akumal is quiet and it is easy to walk to a store, restaurant or just to enjoy the scenery. The staff is helpful and friendly, and the sandwich shop on the next street over has fantastic breakfast tortas. We loved the unit and would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful get away by the beach and pool. Thanks Diana.

Seascape says it all

Seascape proved to be exactly the beautiful and restful location for the rest and recreation for which we hoped. The proximity and views of the bay are unmatched. The sound of the surf always in the background. There is plenty of both sun and shade on the beach area right outside the front door. We enjoyed the grassy area for outdoor drinks and morning coffee. The condo was a spacious accommodation for two couples. We had zero problems with any equipment including Wifi and TV. We enjoyed using the well appointed kitchen and colorful tableware for our breakfasts and lunch while taking advantage of the great local restaurants for dinner. The pool was refreshing and we usually had it to ourselves. The location of La Sirena at the end of the bay keeps traffic and noise down. We found the condo beach area to be large, private, and never crowded. The bay was filled with snorkelers all week. It is a bit tricky getting in and out through the rocks but worth the effort. We were repeatly commenting on Seascape's spaciousness and comfort. The high ceilings and bright decor were delightful. We have rented in on the Rivera Maya several times and would highly recommend Seascape as a wonderful choice. Our communication with Diana was very easy and helpful. She takes personal interest in seeing that her guests have a great experience.

Perfect Beach Vacation

If you're planning to vacation in this part of the world, you can't possibly do better than Seascape condo in Akumal. This condo is, hands down, the best in the area in terms of location and amenities. As independent word travelers who cringe at the idea of being confined to a resort or cruise ship, we knew we wanted a rental for this trip and were fortunate to find exactly what we were looking for with Seascape.

Seascape's location in Akumal simply can't be beat. The beach side of Akumal is basically a long stretch of road that hugs the ocean, bordered by the public Akumal Bay Beach at one end and Half-Moon Bay at the other. In between, it's populated by condos, homes and small restaurants and shops, while Akumal Pueblo (across the freeway) is more of a working town. Seascape is located in a wonderful complex, La Sirena, on Half-Moon Bay, practically at the end of the beach road. We found this ideal; very quiet but within walking distance to whatever we needed. The condo itself is beautiful and truly had everything we could possibly want or need. We enjoy cooking and the kitchen had everything to hand. The bed was comfortable, shower just right, as was the TV, DVD player, internet and stereo. We utilized open windows for the marvelous sea breezes whenever possible. Out the back door was Half-Moon Bay with fine snorkeling, swimming and lounging and out the front door was the pool set in the gorgeous gardens, always clean and inviting. The property is immaculately maintained and residents and staff alike were very friendly and helpful. Yal-Ku Lagoon, for excellent snorkeling, is just a 5 minute walk down the road, and although we had a car, once we got to Seascape we basically parked it except for grocery shopping. Although a car is recommended, you could definitely do without one if you're in decent shape and walk or bike. We had no trouble walking to all the local dining options from the condo. For excursions outside of Akumal, you can always hire transportation.

We managed to plug in our major Yucatan sightseeing on either end of our condo rental rental week, which left us with the week we spent at Seascape free for soaking up the sunshine, snorkeling, swimming and simply relaxing. We'd begin our days with ocean-side coffee in the lounge chairs and end them in the same place, accompanied by the sounds of the waves and the stars overhead. This was a most relaxing vacation for us and we certainly hope to return some day!

Beautiful!

What a wonderful family vacation! The condo was very easy to get to and Diana had everything you could possibly need. The snorkeling out front was amazing and the gardens and pool were a great way to relax after a long day in the sun. We are looking forward to returning to Akumal in the future (maybe next time without the kids!).

amazing condo

This condo is amazing, Diana has the condo so well equipped, she thought about everything one could possibly need. As close as one can get to the sea in the mayan riviera.

The swimming pool is awesome and the snorkel in front of the condo beautiful.

Amazing sunsets.

Lovely kitchen.

Away from the crowds, and close to yolk, the turtles and many other attractions.

Awesome Akumal vacation location

We stayed at this condo from 2/9 until 2/14. Our reservation was originally scheduled to start 2/8 but there was a mix-up in the reservations and other plans were needed. The condo owner did an excellent job making alternative reservations for us. This worked out fantastically, a well done to the condo owner. The photos do not do the condo justice, it is much nicer than pictured. We spent the mornings drinking our coffee on the porch, second living space. The beds are very comfortable. The unit is very well stocked with the supplies needed. The view is fantastic, very calming and relaxing.

We ate half our meals in the condo and the other half in town. There is a local seafood restaurant in town. A simple menu but all the fare is excellently prepared. There are 2 local stores in Akumal, but there selection is limited so recommend you go to either Tulum or stop at the store half way up to Playa De Carmen. The eggs are fresh and taste great with some local sausage. A word of note, most of the stores stop selling beer at 2:00 PM on Sundays.

Snorkeling at Akumal Bay was great and we got to see sea turtles munching on the sea cabbage. We also snorkeled at the lagoon, it is in walking distance and admission is good for all day. We went on a Monday and it was not crowded at all.

The best time was spent lounging outside the condo, enjoying the sun and the sea. This condo and its amenities made this truly enjoyable.

Wonderful location. Great amenities. Perfect place to stay in Akumal.

We have a wonderful trip to Akumal and greatly enjoyed this perfectly stocked and situated condo. Waking up each day to the beauty of the Akumal Bay and sitting outside enjoying the pool, snorkeling in the bay or just relaxing on the chaises enjoying the view or reading made this trip so special. Close enough to walk into town to dine and far enough away from the more hectic public beach. This is our fifth trip to Akumal and our first time renting a condo. Having a kitchen, common space (versus two hotel rooms), and private lounging area (no more claiming chairs in the AM as you see at hotels/resorts) made the trip with a teenager so much easier.

This place is a true gem in a great location

SeaScape exceeded our expectations. As a couple that began visiting Akumal in 1994, we've never really been shattered by disappointment with our lodgings. That said, we have occasionally found ourselves shrugging off irksome surprises at an underachieving rental or two. But here absolutely everything lived up to the owner's description. SeaScape is a gem. Bright and clean with an easy-gong vibe, the property had everything we needed for our week and we travel carry-on light. The condo complex nudges up to the waterfront at the north tip of Akumal, which remains endearingly laid-back despite the frenzied development that has occurred elsewhere in the region. The soothing murmur of the sea and the call of birds were all we heard from the ground-level, screened-in porch. Inside this cheerfully decorated, and clearly loved vacation home, we found soft beds, ample closet space, comfortable sitting areas, two large bathrooms, plenty of towels, an on-target guidebook to the area, and a fully equipped kitchen with a fantastic coffee maker. We did almost everything we wanted. We lounged. We tanned. We fended for ourselves, as we prefer. We practiced our Spanish, even though there's plenty of tourist English to go around. We snorkeled in gentle waves just yards away. We rented bikes on site. We swam in a pristine pool that offered us with both sunny and shaded spots. We day-tripped, taking our niece to Tulum and other favorite spots. We uploaded giddy, sun-splashed photos to envious family and friends with SeaScape's speedy wireless connection. We ate. We drank. We relaxed. The only thing we did not do was stay as long as we would have liked. For us, the toughest thing about staying here was leaving.

Vacation in a friend's home on the bay

Staying at SeaScape is more like staying in a friend’s seaside home than staying in a timeshare (we were here for 10 days in early December). The decorations are attractive, the beds are comfortable, the layout is more spacious than in a Marriott 2BR timeshare, the air conditioning cools quickly (with units for each room), and there is more than enough closet space for both you and the things the owners have stored. And it all comes with excellent maid service…either every day or every other day, as you chose (Teresa is a very good maid). Dishware is not fancy, but it is plentiful and more than serviceable (plastic is good here, as it won’t break if you drop it on the nicely tiled flooring and is amenable to being used outdoors). Condiments and cleaning supplies are provided…just replace them or add to them when you leave. You may think you are facing east when stepping outside, but turn to the right in early evenings and you will see beautiful sunsets.

If you are a snorkeler, you can walk easily to the Yal-Ku lagoon for (what used to be) excellent snorkeling. During the time we were there, though, much of the lagoon was packed so densely with millions of sardine-like fish that you could not see the bottom. This was our only real disappointment. Did see one queen angel, but the other angels and the giant parrot fish we usually encountered were not to be found.

Bring water shoes if you have them and wish to snorkel in the bay in front of La Sirena. You will need them for wading out to where the water is deep enough to swim. And be careful where you step and where you put your hands, as there are many small spiny sea urchins that could give you an unpleasant surprise if you don’t.

For dining, we recommend the lion fish tacos and mojitos at Gynn’AK and the breakfasts and lunches at Turtle Bay Café and lunches at La Buena Vida. There are also two restaurants in town (across the highway) that, though lacking in atmosphere, serve very good meals at very reasonable prices: El Ultimo Maya and Tequilaville. And we had pleasant tacos at Imelda’s Kitchen, though there is certainly nothing fancy here. I’m sure there are other enjoyable dining spots, as we did not sample them all.

You will want a car. Akumal is a lengthy, stretched-out town (too far to walk for most) and you will want to be able to drive north to the relatively new Chedraui grocery etc. just outside the entrance to Puerto Aventuras (driving to Tulum is another possibility, though we did not do tha

Great place - empty this time a year!

As a family of four, two kids aged 6-8 enjoyed this place quite a bit. The rocky entry of the shore allows for some great animal quests, lots of hermit crabs and snails to be found throughout the property. The pool is a great size, but quite buggy so we spent more time at the beach. With a car, the perfect swim beaches are just a short distance away. The new Chedraui in Tulum has all the amenities of a North America supermarket, no need to stop in Playa anymore. We cooked in many nights and it is obvious that the owner enjoys cooking, we didn't need to buy any spices and the cookware were excellent. We made some full day trips to see ruins and swim in cenotes.

Only changes we would ask for are for extra h20 jugs to be left at the condo, we drank a lot of water and it would be great to have a backup jug.

it'S ALL in the details...

We have stayed at several different places in Akumal, and decided to try the north end this time, as we were entranced by the pool and gardens last year when we stopped by. NOTE: this is a small bay, so the north end is only 2-3 minutes walking.

This is a beautiful complex, with a much larger, more private beach area; the gardens and pool are amazing, and wonderful to dip into after being on the beach all day. Since it is on the north end, its gets wonderful breezes, and the views were definitely tops. It is rocky when you walk into the water, but we have had issues with stubbing our feet walking in at the middle of the bay, at other condos. We have learned never to walk in the water in this bay without water shoes. But that's what makes for great snorkeling.

Another great feature that we really liked about La Sirena was the fact that the condos are not up against the road! Instead they are between the beach and gardens, which made a huge difference in the comfort of those staying in the 2nd bedroom.

As to the condo itself, everything was as described by other reviewers. The beds were great; we particularly liked the varying pillow options. The kitchen is the nicest we have seen in any beach condo, even though we didn't cook much. Though the ability to put things added to our comfort level.

We have stayed in several other nice condos in Akumal, but what sets this one apart is the consistency of good quality throughout the condo, the maintenance on everything, and all the thought put into the details, down to the pool floats: GIANT RUBBERIZED NOODLES!

Thanks for sharing your home!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Seascape and are counting the months until we return! Truly a warm and wonderful home in a beautiful setting along Half Moon Bay.The condo was clean and spacious, beds were amazing! Waking up to the breeze from the Ocean and having the AC when needed, fans in the bathrooms were so appreciated!Diana has truly thought of every comfort needed when on a holiday. The staff were friendly and eager to help.We walked to the La Lunita for a wonderful dinner on the beach, LaBeuna Vida for some lively happy hours, the Loncheria in the village makes great guac,Lucy's kitchen the best ice cream, bbq chicken with all the trimming in Pueblo across the highway. Such a piece of paradise! We snorkeled and swam amongst the turtles and were happy to see the turtle nests along Half Moon Bay.First time for renting a car! Very safe and quiet. We have been coming to the Half Moon Bay area for 5 years now and Seascape is defintely a "10"!!!!

Diana, thanks for all your helpful tips!

Everything I wanted in a getaway & more!

What a wonderful vacation in Akumal! For a vacation rental, I prefer a smaller complex away from the hustle & bustle of the hot spots. La Sirena complex and specifically this condo (Seascape) were absolutely outstanding. Condo is colorful & comfortable & refreshing - you can tell that the owners also spend a lot of time here because of how well appointed the entire condo is. And I loved being on the ground floor corner unit - I spend every morning outside our door on the terraced beach in a chair with coffee and a book and then every evening in the same chair on the beach with a cocktail! Just doesn't get any better.

The kitchen in the condo was exceptional -- recently renovated and nicely stocked with nice pots/pans/glassware/dishes - everything I needed to do whatever cooking I wanted. I've stayed in other places where the kitchen was either crammed to overflowing with what looked like casfoffs or so sparse we had to scavenge glasses & plasticware from fast food places. Seascape's kitchen was JUST RIGHT!!!

The La Sirena pool & gardens are outstanding also - very inviting and a lot greener and more private than many of the complexes in the area.

I loved being able to snorkle right outside the condo and even more snorkeling just s short walk away at Yal Ku lagoon. And Diana's information sheet about things to see & do in the area was invaluable - although I must admit I loved the condo so much that I was quite content to spend most of my days right on my own little beach away from home.

I highly recommend this condo to anyone wanting to visit the Yukatan area without staying in one of the larger touristy towns like Cancun or Playa del Carmen.

Best Beds Ever

We recently stayed in this condo as our 4th visit to Akumal. From previous trips to this area, we dreaded the beds as they are either on concrete platforms or hard as rocks. Mexican pillows are horrible, or very limited. We choose this condo for the advertised beds. They did not disappoint, in fact they were best setup we have experienced whilst on vacation. The owner, Diana, has done a great job in making this condo the perfect mix of Mexican and American comfort. The new kitchen, in particular, was really nice and well outfitted. We ended up cooking more than we had planned because it was so easy with everything being provided. All the extra details made this condo our favorite we have been to. We'll be back. Thanks Diana!

Great condo right on the water in wonderful Akumal!!

For our first visit to the Yucatan, we decided to stay in Akumal based on some recommendations from friends. We were very fortunate to find such a wonderful condo with a very helpful owner, Diana. Akumal is an easy place to fall in love with and we felt like the best decision we made was to stay there.

Though the beaches are nicer at Akumal Bay, we preferred staying at a condo on Half-Moon Bay. It's less crowded and you literally walk out the door to a great snorkeling spot. We rented bikes at the condo for $5/day to make trips to town a little faster, but it also makes for a nice walk in the morning and evenings. It also helped that our favorite bar, La Buena Vida, was just down the road with great food and drinks. Down the road the other way was our favorite snorkeling spot at the lagoon.

The condo itself was great for a bunch of reasons. We loved that it was on the first floor so it was easy access to the beaches and just for coming and going in general with neighbors on just one side. Everyone that worked there was very friendly and we had no problems at all, though there was someone on call 24hrs a day in case something happened. There is a full kitchen with everything one would want to prepare your own meals. We shopped at the big market in Tulum and made lots of great meals. It felt more like we were staying at someone's full-time residence than a typical condo or hotel room. Very homey and comfortable with all of the small touches like beach towels, coolers, and a breakdown of local restaurants and things to do. Plus free wi-fi was nice to have as well.

We did rent a car, and that made everything on this trip much easier to be able to do what we wanted. We were a short, easy drive to the Mayan Ruins and cenotes. I would strongly recommend someone thinking about staying here to rent a car, and we had Diana help us get that figured out.

Our trip was one of those trips where we were already planning our next stay at this condo. It would be a great place to go with 2 couples or with the family. We hope to make it back down as soon as we can take another vacation!

Beautiful view, fabulous decor, conscientious staff.

Beautiful view, fabulous decor, conscientious and helpful staff. I will return ASAP. This does not feel like a rental. It feels like a well-decorated home that has a wonderful view of the ocean and gardens. The kitchen is even stocked with numerous spices and nice dishes and glassware. There are only a handful of condos in this building, and some are full-time residents. I like to vacation in peace and privacy, and this location afforded me that. The owner offers a lot of pre-travel information via email. It may seem overwhelming but read it before you go. It saves you time and money. Akumal is a great little town with a variety of restaurants. The area diving (reef and caves) is spectacular. I am an adult female, traveled by myself to Cancun, rented a car, and toured Akumal and Tulum. Used common sense and had zero safety concerns.

Relaxing, great owner and super helpful property manager on site.

My husband and I took our four kids here (13, 11, 9, 1) this year for vacation. We all had a fabulous time for sure! We had been to akumal before, snorkeled there while staying in Playa, and knew we would come back to stay. Our kids snorkeled a bit, found they didn't like it much, but still had a great time in the pool!

There is plenty to do, right there and close by, but the town of akumal is still small, not terribly busy and friendly!

Highly recommend. The property was awesome and we had some rental car issues while there and Enrique, the property manager, was so super helpful. So grateful for him!

Can't say enough!

Akumal and this condo was exactly what we needed for our multi-generational vacation. Akumal is very laid-back but still had enough to keep us all going. The kids didn't get bored, and the parents felt safe. Many opportunities for varied actitivites in the area, which we actually cut back on because we enjoyed our location so much. This condo is on the north end of Half Moon Bay so it is somewhat rocky here, but it is rocky everywhere in Akumal because the reef comes into the bay which meant fabulous snorkeling and calm water. The owner Diana described it as swimming in a giant aquarium, and she was right! We loved the condo itself, it was better than advertised. The beds were extremely comfortable. Everything was nicely appointed and well taken care of. When we cooked the few times, everything was there. The maid did a great job. Overall, everything in this condo was a step up from other places we have stayed at. We felt very spoiled and will be back.

feels like home

The unit far exceeded our expectations and provide our family of 4 everything we could have wanted in a rental unit. The books and DVD's as well a internet provided much information during brief periods of rain. The stain artistic glass in the shower and window transoms was nice as were all the personal touches, Mexican weavings, ceramics and photographs. It was easy to see the owner's passion for both sea life and plant life.

Snorkeling in Half Moon Bay and Yal Kul was fantastic, my wife was over joyed to see three sea truttles and the incredible colors and variety of fish made me keep swimming for hours. The Akumal area is so peaceful and relaxing and feels incredibly safe as well. This condo made enjoying the area even easier. Thank you for sharing this special place that you have created and we would highly recommend it to our friends and anyone looking for a home away from home.

We enjoyed trips to Ek Balam and Muyil on this trip having been to Chichen Itza, Coba and Tulum on previous visits. we enjoyed many of the recipes we found in the condo book (great margaritas and salsa) and were wonderfully relaxed and carefree for our entire vacation.

Breathtaking Escape for Weary CO and MA people

This ten days in Akumal, was fun, relaxing, restful with as much added excitement as we wanted to include!! The most well-appointed condo we have stayed in for a while (last year, we went to Eleuthra), and we chose the downstairs unit so we could walk out and be 50 feet from the water to snorkel! We found the condo at Half-Moon Bay great for snorkeling, but bring water shoes as the water off the beach is a litle rocky.

. The space in the unit was perfect for two couples, the screened porch great for rest and the ocean breeze was terrific! Grilled outside but found that stores do not know what "charcoal" is; we found one package to renew the supply at the condo. The little city has grown and although we did not enjoy the tour buses that are now coming, Akumal Bay was also great for snorkeling. I read 5 books while lounging at the biggest pool, including a lap pool, in Akumal!, a tranquil oasis of peace. We rented a car in Cancun, so we took a drive (all the way down to Punta Allen, took a pic for the Denver Post travel section! Plan to stop along the road to listen to the jungle and view some beautiful birds. A grilled fish dinner in Punta Allen was wondrous and the beaches along the way, not good to snorkel but so fun to surf and swim! We also went up and down the main road looking for "uh, mini-golfo" and everyone was so nice and sweet, but had no idea what we wanted! Also played a lot of Scrabble, we brought our own travel game. For fun and dancing, the sound system in condo is great too.

Lots of DVD's were available in condo which were great to catch up on in eves.,after a day of fun and frolic! Buena Vida is great bar and restaurant just down the road, along with places in town for happy hours and shopping (their complex has certainly grown!) You can fish for half a day or so from several operators nearby, though April is said to be the beginning of 3 good months for fishing off shore. Phil did hook a bog sailfish but unfortunately he broke off the line!! Wonderful place to lose some time, (we could not find out about Payton Manning to Broncos, but neighbors informed us, they are friendly; he has a gallery in town with very interesting stories on sunken treasure near Akumal!) and to relax with friends. We have vacationed with another couple from MA for several years and one day, while at the pool, she looked up from her book and said "this is wonderful, isn't it" I had to agree. Thanks again to Diana for all her help.. Adios

Definitely an A+

This was our second year staying at Seascape and can honestly say there are no negatives, only positives about this wonderfully appointed condo and its location. It has fabulous views, fabulous snorkeling and is in a quiet and relaxing complex with all the comforts of home. The great restaurants that are within walking distance are a huge bonus for the times when we didn’t feel like cooking at “home”.

Akumal is centrally located along the Mayan Riviera, so all activities that you may want to take in are just a short drive; Mayan ruins – Tulum, Coba, Ek Balam; Cenote swims;(Casa Cenote with its restaurant and yummy Margarita’s was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon!) Sian Ka’an and any of the more commercial spots (Hidden Worlds, Xel-ha etc) are all nearby.

A big thank you to Diana for allowing us to enjoy this amazing vacation home!

Wonderful condo in gorgeous setting

More beautiful than the pictures: a breathtaking and wonderfully appointed condo in a stunning setting. The rooms were exotic, colorful and immaculate and the kitchen area had everything one wanted to make cooking a pleasure. And they all had terrific views and with a gentle tropical breeze that made air conditioning totally unnecessary! After our many outings to the lagoon (amazing to walk a few blocks and snorkel in warm, clear waters teeming with tropical fish), or the beaches or Mayan ruins, we relished coming back to La Sirena and the condo. Diana, the owner, was very helpful with everything and her love and enthusiasm for the area show not only in her many suggestions but in the care she has taken to create such a lovely home to share with her guests. Everyone from the landscape workers to the housekeeping and management staff were helpful and friendly to our family. We would recommend this area and specifically this complex and this condo without reservation.

60th B-Day Trip.....It DID exceed expectations !

I needed a girls trip for my special B-Day, and decided on Akumal and then SeaScape. I sent months looking for the right location and then the right condo. There were so many options, but it was all in the details. Everything was perfect. Akumal, the beaches, the snorkeling, and especially the condo. There was plenty of room for the five of us. Very comfortable, and nice. I have never slept so well as in the condo. And we really liked all the extra touches. The owner, Diana was so helpful in planning, even helping us to best use our time at Seascape. One week was not enough. Next time we are bringing husbands!

Guest from Dallas, TX

This was a trip filled with 'firsts.' First trip to Mexico, first snorkeling, first trip to Coba . . . It was ALL fantastic. And Sea Scape was the perfect place to experience it all. There are so many things to do nearby it was hard to choose.

Also a great place to just kick back away from the hustle and bustle of everyday living. You could hang out by the pool or snorkel. Several good area restaurants as well if not in the mood to cook for yourself.

Sea Scape is everything it is advertised to be. Nicely decorated with all the comforts of home. I am not sure what I really expected but this was so much more than anticipated.

Fantastic condo, incredible views and location

We spent a great week at this condo this past in August, and just loved it. The condo was perfectly outfitted, everything in great condition with many extras that made our stay very comfortable. This was not your typical condo. The condo is larger than the most 2 bedrooms, bright, and nicely designed. We especially liked the beach side screened porch. Our daughter loved watching the jungle animals at night from this. La Sirena's gardens are incredible, and we liked that the condo wasn't up against the road like a lot of them on this bay. The location was perfect, we felt we had plenty of privacy but were close to everything. We spent more time than we had planned to at the condo because the views, and the snorkeling is the best in the area. The owner, Diana, was extremely helpful in recommendations, to help balance down time and active time. This was a perfect vacation. We are definely coming back again: same time next year!

Akumal it;sef was very nice, quiet

. For once, the photos are actually NOT as good as reality. The views were drop dead gorgeous.

August 2 & 3, 2011

Breathtaking vistas of Half Moon Bay from this well appointed condo. Well designed & wonderfully decorated, the floor plan works for up to 5 persons. The condo is well equipped & supplied with cooking utensils & all other needs. The mattresses in the bedrooms are ultimate comfort. Well landscaped & maintained, the courtyard is a blaze of tropical color & greenery & surrounds a beautiful swimming pool. Conveniently located within walking distance to Yal Cuu Lagoon. The owner is friendly & helpful & easy to work with. You won't regret your stay here. p.s. The only drawback is that water access is a swim over living coral and the beaches are rocky here.

Unbelievable Mexico Vacation

I wanted to extend a special "Thank You" to the lovely couple who rent this condo. The condo and its location are unbeatable! I am so glad my family had the opportunity to explore Mexico with the comfort of knowing each night we would be resting up at the Seascape. It really is a secluded paradise away from all the tourism! We enjoyed all of the little conveniences such as the kitchen, two bedrooms and bathrooms (great when your traveling with kids),and TV in English! All the "little extras" were a great bonus. Oh and let's not forget the pool. It is a great place to start or end an adventurous day, we loved it! We snorkeled directly at the beach in front of the condo on a daily basis and observed different sea creatures each day. We also walked to Akumal Bay and snorkeled with the sea turtles. There we saw eels, a barracuda and several different fish. I must note though that snorkeling at Half Moon Bay was slightly better due to the clarity of the water. We headed to the Lagoon one day and that was worth the experience! The water was cool and crisp, great for a cool down, and the fish were amazing. The family also enjoyed going to Coba one of the days. This was an experience that will never be forgotten. My one word of advise for anyone making the trip to Coba is pay for the bicyclist to transport you due to the extreme distance between Mayan sites. Another great adventure was to the Grand Cenote. This is unusually cool, freshwater snorkeling in caves. My eleven year old son and I deeply enjoyed this because we are the thrill seekers in the family and it was dark snorkeling in some areas! Choosing Seascape was the perfect location to do all that we did and more. I must admit after traveling all over this area in Mexico, this condo is in a central location to so many activities. I'm so glad we picked this area! All in all we had a grand time and I am sure we have discovered a permanent vacation destination. Again, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! Ya'll are giving more than just a place to stay on vacation, you're giving families the opportunity to make memories that will last a lifetime. Until we rent again!!!!

Best Family Vacation Ever

We just returned from Akumal last Friday. This was our first international family trip and I am so happy that we chose Sea Scape at La Sirena. We appreciate all of the helpful information that the owners gave to us to prepare for our trip. Our girls loved the proximity to the bay and the view of the Caribbean was spectacular. The pool area was a tropical paradise with birds flying overhead and iguanas lounging beside it in the sun. The girls, 7 and 10, even named the iguana at the pool, since we saw him every day. The Playa Paradise staff, including Miriam and Inez, were fabulous and always made sure we were comfortable. We also loved the Akumal Beach snorkeling and Yal Kul Lagoon, both of which are only 5 minutes away. This was a great time of year to go, as we were one of the only families in the complex and only shared the pool with one other family the whole time we were there. If you want great family times or a romantic place to vacation, Sea Scape is the place for you!

Que Perfecto!

Well, sadly we are all done with our time away at Seascape! Again, we

just had the most wonderful time. It was some much needed time away,

and we feel so fortunate that it was in such a paradise as your condo

in Akumal! Everything in the unit worked great. The morning view of

the Caribbean is unforgettable! You have the condo supplied well with

all the kitchen and everyday needs one may have. The place is also

managed very well by the staff at Playa Paradise. Very professional

and courteous! We enjoyed all that Akumal has to offer (or at least

everything we could make time for on this trip!) We will definitely be

back!

2nd time around even better!

This was our third trip to Akumal and second to stay at SeaScape. While Playa del Carmen is still growing and becoming a mini-Cancun, Akumal is still small and quaint. Snorkeling in Half Moon Bay is best right in front of the condo, we couldn't get enough of it. It is somewhat rocky going in, but it is rocky everywhere in the bay. Following the owner's, Diana's directions, we found a new beach and several local restaurants in the jungle. Some of our most enjoyable times was relaxing at the end of the day watching the wildlife from the beach. Our location was perfect.

As for the condo,we didn't think it could get better but it did. Everything is kept updated and well-maintained, you don't feel as though you are in the Yucatan. The owner, Diana is here often which shows in the overall quality of everything in the condo. Lots of extras that make the difference between very good and excellent: beach umbrellas, chairs and coolers, reading lamps, extremely well stocked kitchen, and wonderful linens. You're in a wonderful home here not a rental.

It was truely perfection.

Wonderful vacation

We had a wonderful time, we had twelve beautiful days on the beach and in the bay. The condo is beautiful, the grounds were lovley and the maintenance folks could not have been more accomodating and attentive, it was all just great. We did all our own cooking, or brought back sachels of pre-cooked chicken/pork from Tulum and made meals of it with fresh tortillas from town. The kitchen was very well equipped, we were pleasantly surprised!

We took a turtle walk with the CEM our last night in Akumal, which we would recommend, we saw a female green sea turle come up on the beach, and saw a nest hatch and helped the babies make their way to the ocean. It was a nice way to end the trip, very moving and memorable.

We’ll be back , we loved the bay, the town, the road with the little shops, everything.

If you like beautiful vie...

If you like beautiful views, quiet, fantastic snorkeling, wildlife, and a Mexican feel come to Akumal. And if you want to feel spoiled come to this condo. While all beachfront condos on this bay have great views what separates them are how they have been detailed by their owners. This one overdelivers. It had everything we could think of, even pool floatees! We spent more time in the condo then we had planned, we loved the beach area and our own personal space, just being able to walk right out. We also liked the screened porch as a 2nd living area, and the new master bath is very spa-like. The owner, Diana spends a lot of time in Akumal, and was very helpful and informative. Thanks for sharing your special place with us! Fabulous.

Simply phenominal. Our second trip back to Seascape was even better than our first, and we didn't think that was possible!

We had our Honeymoon at Seascape and loved every second of it. Diana is a wonderful hostess and the place is a familiar little slice of paradise for Jess and I. The cleaning staff and management were absolutely wonderful, and the maintainence guy was really on the ball!

We love Akumal and Seascape , for the adventerous types, it's a great launching point to explore the Mayan and the Yucatan, lots of history and culture in the area, which Diana caters to with great books (and a first rate "instruction manual" :)on the subject. For the snorkelers, fifty feet out your front door is some of the best snorkeling we've ever done. Not to mention the great Yal Ku lagoon and Akumal Beach with those awesome turtles.

Whether you're looking for adventure, relaxation, or a romantic getaway, there's none better than the beauty and comfort of Seascape. Can't wait to go back!

SeaScape was the perfect place for a family vacation. The kids could choose to swim in the ocean or the pool...and they loved going back and forth all day between the two.

We cooked most nights we were there and every time I went to look for something in the kitchen, Diana had thought of it--she had everything we needed.

We went to Yal Ku Lagoon several times while we were there...and it was only a block away.

Akumal remains one of the best spots on the Mayan Riviera. We would definitely stay in SeaScape again. Thanks Diana!
