Villa Jardin: Spacious Updated Poolside Villa

I can’t imagine a better place to stay in Akumal. Villa Jardin is a very comfortable place to stay. The beds are comfortable, the towels are thick and fluffy and the showers are great. The grounds are beautiful and the beach is heavenly. What more can you ask for?

Everything you need for a wonderful holiday. Easy walk to restaurants and town. The casita and grounds were immaculate and the staff was efficient and kind. We enjoyed every minute of our stay.

We had a wonderful stay! Our kids are 7 & 9 and we had a wonderful time swimming in the pool and hanging out in the house. It's a nice setup with two main level bedrooms and spacious master suite upstairs. Everything is well appointed and we don't have a single complaint. We even snorkled to the nearby breakfast joint (La Buena Vida ~ 1/2 mile) where you can wash the salt off in their beachside pool and eat breakfast surfside, digest in a hammock, and then swim or walk back. Lovely and relaxing!

Property was even more beautiful than the pictures. Very satisfied with the accommodations. Wish I could have stayed longer. Would love to return someday. There is so much to do and see. Adrian, the manager, was very helpful.

We were 3 couples & found the place to be vary spacious. The beds are very comfortable. The pool is right out side the front door. It can get a little noisy but it kids having fun. There is staff on duty at all times. There is a BBQ & a sign in the fridge that says ‘Charcoal is available for your use’ but when we asked where we could get some charcoal, we were told ‘The Store’. We had to get someone to come in & look at the oven because we could not get it lit. It is an older model & can not be repaired. We would have loved to have had all the windows open but when we arrived

the inside was full of mosquitoes & we were eaten alive all night long. They were coming through the screens. We stuffed the bathroom windows with plastic wrap to keep them out. So. Sadly we had to run the air conditioning all the time. I ‘HATE’ air conditioners and found it quite annoying but that was me. The fridge was plenty big. There are bikes to rent. Make sure you bring water shoes because the water along the area is very rocky in places with coral & sea urchins. You can walk very far out into the ocean & still touch the bottom. The ocean was warm and the lounge chairs were plenty. We would definitely come back here. We had an amazing week in Akumal. Thanks

Akumal is a relaxing, beautiful, fun place to be, and the Sirena complex is a wonderful oasis. If you are looking for a sanitized, all-inclusive, luxury experience, this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for someplace that is comfortable, away from the hubbub, and has friendly, responsive staff, you will find all of that. The snorkeling right off the beach was terrific. Akumal is near to several ruins and many cenotes. Host Diana is a great communicator and has lots of great recommendations and information. There are two restaurants about a block away, one terrific and one very good. We hope to come again some time.

We spent a wonderful week at Villa Jardin. It’s clean, very comfortable & outfitted with everything you might need (including an outside clothes line on the downstairs patio which we only discovered the last day!). The upstairs terrace was wonderful for star gazing & sitting after a day at the beach. Villa Jardin is in the La Sirena complex which is like a little beachside oasis . The landscaping with the pool, palm trees, grass & flowering bushes is lovely. The beach itself has lounge chairs & palapas for shade & is perfect for reading & relaxing. Everything is clean & well maintained. Our favorite restaurant was La Cueva del Pescador (best fish ever!) and Que Onda (nice setting, good food & great service) which is not on the main road, but is only a very short walk from the villa. We love Akumal & recommend Villa Jardin as the perfect place to stay for a vacation.

This was a great place to get away. The condo/hacienda is perfect. Big deck upstairs, screened in porch downstairs and a pool 10 feet from our door. The beach - which is perfect - is 20 paces away.

Akumal is fantastic. Lots to do if you want (snorkeling in a wonderful lagoon 50 yards away), visit Tulum ruins and visit the cenotes (we loved Aktun Chen, 10 minutes away). Great restaurants within a mile or two drive (a few great ones are 10 minute walks).

We usually book around Puerto Morelos area but this year decided to go more south. We stayed at the Villas this year for the 1st time. Diana was great at booking and giving us little hints about the location and surrounding areas. The house we had was FANTASTIC!!! 3 bedroom, beautiful bathrooms, great living area and great patio on 2nd floor. Alfredo, the grounds manager, will greet you like a long lost friend and get you set up. He is the BEST!!! The pool is super quiet in lush surroundings...and the private "beach" area was perfect. Cleaned and raked every morning. The snorkelling off the beach was okay, but the Yal Ku lagoon right next door is amazing...if you are a stronger swimmer you can access the lagoon by the ocean (path right across from Que Onda resto)....Akumal beach is always stunning with the turtles, rays and squids...go super early or late afternoon to avoid the crowds....The restos are beyond belief...I own resto's in Montreal and these are some of the best I've eaten at in Mexico. La Lunita was always great...friendly staff...perfect food...great Chef!!! The seafood place on the square was ridiculously good...best octopus I have ever had...

Buena Vida is a typical toursity bar on the beach..nothing bad about it, but nothing great...staff were not overly friendly but it could be because they were so busy....All in all if you are looking for R&R this is your place...if you are looking for a walk in beach right outside your condo, this is not your place...BUT I will definitely be back next year..and maybe this Spring!!!

This villa is beautifully decorted and very well maintained. The master bedroom is amazing with its brick ceiling, and large sitting area. The 2nd floor deck is a great place to enjoy beverages overlooking the pool and bay. The other bedrooms are large and very comfortable. I love how this villa is nestled in the trees and gives you a very relaxed tropical feeling. I love this place and cant wait to go back

Villa Jardín was a great choice for our party of 6 adults and one infant. It was spacious enough to accommodate us comfortably and the staff were helpful for our needs, such as finding a crib. It was far enough from the main tourist area that it was quiet, but near enough to restaurants and groceries that our needs were within walking distance.

When looking for a beautiful peaceful setting, this is it. The view is amazing of Akumal Bay- From you front porch you wake to the sounds of the waves and sea breeze. The property itself is quiet and beautifully maintained. The best of both worlds, the beach right at your footsteps and a pool right behind the condo. A wonderful place to stay and cant wait to go back.

This 3 bedroom villa is quite comfortable, and is located in a beautiful and relaxing courtyard, just a few steps from Half Moon Bay. The 2nd floor master suite is huge, and has an amazing brick inlayed domed ceiling over the king sized bed. There is a big screened front porch for laying out wet gear, and there is a very nice 2nd floor patio that catches the breezes. The on-site property manager, Alfredo, is amazing! So friendly and helpful. The wi-fi had gone out at the home, and he had it fixed within 90 minutes! He also helped us make reservations for local attractions, and when I needed to vacuum our rental vehicle, he got a shop vac and did it himself for me!

The pool is beautiful, and has some nice shade if you want to relax in it during the heat of the day. The beach area is accessed through a walkway under the adjacent condo building, and has plenty of lounge chairs and palapas for shade. Half Moon bay has some great snorkeling and coral reefs 50 yards from the shore! There is a bike rental at the development, and it is highly worth the $5 per day to have a bike for cruising back to Akumal Beach. We looked at a lot of options for our trip to this part of Mexico, and the price/value for this place was excellent.

This villa is very well appointed, and is very comfortable and relaxing. The courtyard is beautiful, and the pool is a wonderful place to relax during the heat of the day. The breeze through the palm trees surrounding the pool creates such a relaxing feeling! The master suite is huge, with an amazing domed, brick inlayed ceiling over the king sized bed. The onsite property manager, Alfredo, is amazing. He is so friendly and helpful! He helped us make reservations for some local attractions (Sian Ka'an) and he even vacuumed the sand out of our rental car for me! Definitely rent a bike (onsite) for $5 a day. Great for cruising back to Akumal Bay.

We looked all over this part of the Yucatan coast for a detached home/villa to rent, and this seemed to be the best deal/value we could find. After spending a week there, I am totally convinced of that. It is a great price for a great place!
